I’m no stranger to debt. I know how easily it can build up and then the vicious circle of credit to payoff credit begins. The main reason for people using credit in the first place, is because they have no idea what their income is and how much they’re spending. Of course, for some people this won’t be the case. There are other circumstances which could cause people to use credit – but lack of budget is most common.
By creating a budget you can keep track of everything and know that you’re living within your means and have enough to cover the bills. I have a post on creating a budget here.
There are many things you can be doing to save money and payoff debt. A lot of them, I have already written posts on. However, there is one thing, one source, which has every detail you could possible think of covered. It goes over the RIGHT way to pay off debt and how much you need in your savings account in small baby steps.
Yes, I am talking about Dave Ramsey and his incredible book. It changed my world! No one can tell it like he does. I could write 1000 posts on money saving and debt payoff but I would still never be able to give you all the information you deserve.
He takes personal finance to a whole new level so even people who think they’re pretty good an managing their money, are learning tons from his book. He truly knows what he’s talking about.
Read the reviews for yourself – this book has already changed so many lives and it could be changing yours too. I know I’d never be where I am now if it wasn’t for this book. He’s brought everything into focus for me and all the steps are so easy to understand.
Some of the things he talks about are the snowball debt payment method and the cash envelope system. Both quite simple concepts but they truly work miracles for your finances. Or at least, they have for me.
It’s not easy by any stretch. You need to be committed to improving your finances. You have to want that debt freedom with all of your soul! You need to imagine what your life could be like if you followed his advice. How much better off you’d be, less stressed, free!
I truly wish you all the best on your debt free, money saving journey. I’d love to hear what you think in the comments and if you enjoyed this post or found it useful, please do share it.
